Announcement of winners of #ThankYouPapa – A Story-Telling Contest
The Ministry of Women and Child Development had organized #ThankYouPapa– A story-telling contest on the occasion of Father’s Day on MyGov portal. The competition was made live on 18th June 2017 and the last date for submission of entries was 18th July 2017.
The contest was organized to engage with larger audience through sharing of stories about fathers, as they can contribute a great deal in creating a gender-neutral society by the way they treat their daughters and be the torch-bearers of our Government’s ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ movement. We aimed to establish how Fathers can enable their daughters, thereby encouraging inter-generational dialogue, sensitizing men and boys, being a role model for an empowered daughter.
The Ministry received an overwhelming response for this contest. The entries have been screened and shortlisted by a Screening Committee chaired by Hon. Minister Smt. Maneka Gandhi. We are happy to announce the winners: –
