As a part of citizens engagement, Principle Secretary UD Dept. Govt. of West Bengal and Chairman NKDA, appeals on air for maximum participation from citizens in the Smart City programme of New Town Kolkata.
In his appeal to the citizen, he clarified “What a Smart City is”, and elaborated how to participate in the Smart City Programme through MyGov website, NKDA website, Face book, and other platform, for choose appropriate solution for their city.

1 To restrict absolutely the use of polythene like Assam
2 To restrict loudspeakers, blow of vehicles’ horns unnecessarily, to curb noise pollution
3 To restrict the use of chemical colours for making Idols of God – Goddess ‘.’ ultimately it pollutes water when these are submerged in water
4 W B has enough potential to be pioneer in many areas
