World Food India 2025 – India’s Global Food Processing Hub

World Food India (WFI) 2025, scheduled from September 25–28, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, will be a landmark event showcasing India’s transformation into a global hub for food innovation, investment and sustainability. As the fourth edition of this prestigious event, it promises to create unmatched opportunities for collaboration across the food value chain.
India’s Rising Food Processing Industry
India’s food processing sector is among the fastest-growing industries worldwide. It plays a crucial role in agricultural value addition, employment generation, and global trade. With processed food exports gaining momentum, India is strengthening its presence in international markets.
The success of World Food India 2024 which hosted 20 country pavilions, 2,300+ foreign delegates, and 18,000 buyer-seller meetings has set the stage for an even larger and more impactful edition in 2025.
Key Highlights of WFI 2025
This year’s edition will feature:
• Global Food Regulators Summit (GFRS) by FSSAI, enabling regulators worldwide to align on food safety systems and frameworks.
• India International Seafood Show (IISS), connecting processors, exporters, innovators, and SMEs in the seafood sector.
• CEO roundtables, buyer-seller meets, thematic sessions, and exhibitions, fostering B2B, B2G, and G2G collaborations.
Participants will include global processors, equipment manufacturers, logistics firms, HoReCa leaders, retailers, and innovators.
Start-up Grand Challenge 3.0: Fuelling Innovation
The Start-up Grand Challenge in Food Sector 3.0, led by MoFPI in collaboration with Startup India and NIFTEM-T, will spotlight high-potential start-ups. With focus areas such as AI, IoT, deep-tech, sustainable processing, nutraceuticals, and waste reduction, winners will gain cash prize, free mentorship and incubation facilities to scale impactful solutions.

World Food India 2025 will catalyse India’s journey to becoming the “Food Basket of the World.” By focusing on “Minimum Waste, Maximum Value” through sustainable packaging, innovation, and partnerships, the event will shape the future of the global food ecosystem while advancing India’s goal of becoming a developed economy by 2047.
