Winners Announced for International Year of Cooperatives 2025 Essay Competition
On 6 October 2025, the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), in collaboration with MyGov, launched a International Year of Cooperatives 2025 Essay Competition.
This initiative aimed to encourage citizens to explore the world of cooperatives, understand their historical significance, and reflect on the evolving objectives of the Cooperative Movement in today’s dynamic socio-economic landscape. The competition was designed with the following objectives:
- To create awareness about the pivotal role of cooperatives in sustainable and inclusive development.
- To encourage citizens to share innovative ideas for strengthening and modernizing the cooperative movement.
- To promote youth and public engagement in policy discussions related to cooperatives and community-driven development.
The competition remained open until 25 October 2025 and received enthusiastic participation from citizens across the country.
