Announcement of Winners of Short Film Contest on Patriotism-Marching towards Atmanirbharta
As part of Independence Day Celebrations 2020, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting along with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) organized an Online Short Film Contest to create a patriotic mood surrounding this year’s Independence Day.
The contest went live on 14th July 2020 on the MyGov portal and ended on 7th August 2020. The contest was hosted on MyGov. in the website for receiving the entries.
The theme for the entries was ‘Patriotism – Marching towards Atmanirbharta’ meant to encapsulate patriotism, equating it to Atmanirbharta (self-reliance) as the new mantra of progress for the nation.
The competition was opened to entries from Citizens of India and all parts of India and in any Indian Regional Language besides Hindi & English.
There were 800+ responses received from all over the country of which 250+ valid entries were accepted for shortlisting. Eminent personalities formed the Jury and arrived at the Winner’s shortlist after careful scrutiny and the 3 winners and 8 other films deserving of Special Mention were selected in the Final Round.
The winners will be awarded with Certificates and Prize money for the first 3 position holders. Special Jury Certificates will be awarded to 8 other participants for their commendable efforts.
