The Padma Awards 2019 movement marks a paradigm shift in Jan-Bhagidari for building a New India. Departing from the tradition of selected persons recommending the nominations, the Government opened the nomination process to the public at large, thereby making it a people’s movement.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, in collaboration with MyGov, launched the Padma Awards 2019 campaign to celebrate the outstanding work of the Awardees who will be conferred with Padma Awards. A quiz was initiated with the top participants being rewarded with the opportunity to attend the Padma Awards Ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. In the first phase, 30 citizens got the opportunity to attend the Ceremony on the 11th of March, 2019.
The quiz was opened for participation again and provided citizens with the opportunity to be a part of the Padma Awards Ceremony on the 16th of March, 2019. Even in the second phase, the quiz received an overwhelming response, with more than 71,225 participants. Out of these, the top selected 33 participants are mentioned below.
MyGov congratulates and thanks all the participants for their contribution, and encourages them to take part in future MyGov activities.
