Culmination of a contest by MyGov, CSC-SPV and Intel India to celebrate the efforts of Village Level Entrepreneurs for their contribution in making India digitally literate.

Despite living inn on-urban regions with limited facilities, many of our citizens have taken it upon themselves to contribute meaningfully towards the government’s Digital India vision. These Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) who are running Unnati Kendras at Common Service Centres across several states are enabling India’s digital transformation by propagating the adoption of PCs, and ultimately digital empowerment.

‘Meri Kahani PC Ki Zubani’ is a contest that invited the VLEs to submit their stories about how they have leveraged the PC to enable a social and/or personal transformation in their life, or the lives around them. We received more than 150 inspiring stories that show how access to computing has the potential to trigger revolutionary changes, including those related to self-employment opportunities, education, and personal development. While we had to choose the top 10 entries, each story submitted for the contest highlights a human impact story that would not have been possible without these VLEs. So before announcing the winners, we would like to congratulate everyone who participated, for sharing their stories with us.

And finally, here are the top 10 winning stories of VLEs who have inspired many lives and have changed their own fortune.
