Announcing Winners for Essay Writing Contest held by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology during the observance of Fortnight of Vigilance Awareness 2020
‘Fortnight of Vigilance Awareness’ ( सतर्कता जागरुकता पखवाड़ा ) was observed from 27th October to 10th November 2020 in Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology with the theme ‘Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat’ (Vigilant India, Prosperous India). The theme puts the impetus on the thought of the underlying importance of constant vigilance by all citizens towards safeguarding integrity as a core value for the economic growth and development of the country.
It has been scientifically proven that essays have the ability to expand knowledge, change attitudes and alter behaviours. Following the same, to enthuse employees and the public at large towards safeguarding values of honesty, integrity, sincerity, responsibility, transparency, and service to the nation, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and MyGov had collectively undertaken an essay writing competition through the MyGov platform to observe the Fortnight of Vigilance Awareness 2020 on the following topics:
(i) Unity in Diversity: Positioning India as a Leader in Emerging Global Scenario
(ii) Resilient India: Turning Crisis into Opportunity
(iii) Rights Vs Duties: Aware Citizen, Awakened Nation
(iv) Nation First: Ignited Minds, Prosperous Nation
The valid entries received were evaluated by a duly constituted Jury who after much deliberations recommended the winners as follows:-
- 1st Prize: Mr. Chinmay Bendre (Cash Prize of Rs. 7000 and a certificate)
- 2nd Prize: Mr. Krishna Kumar Choudhary (Cash Prize of Rs. 5000 and a certificate)
- 3rd Prize: Mr. Sudipta Das (Cash Prize of Rs. 3000 and a certificate)
