Announcing Winners for Mother’s Absolute Affection (MAA) Programme
“MAA-Mother’s Absolute Affection’’ is an Intensified programme launched on the 5th August 2016 by Hon’ble HFM, in an attempt to bring undiluted focus on promotion of breastfeeding. The goal of the MAA programme is to revitalize efforts towards promotion, protection and support of breastfeeding practices through health systems to enhance breastfeeding rates. The key components of the programme are – awareness generation, promotion of breastfeeding & inter personal counselling at community level, skilled support for breastfeeding at delivery points and monitoring & award/recognition.
A poster designing competition was conducted by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare with MyGov from 12th September to 21st October 2016. 272 participants submitted their designs. The theme of the poster design was based on importance and promotion of breast feeding and its related sub themes.
