Arunachal Idol, the state’s most celebrated musical platform, returned with a vibrant and powerful Season 7, reigniting the stage with youthful energy, exceptional talent, and an enduring spirit of unity.
Launched in 2015 as a humble initiative to discover musical talent across the state, Arunachal Idol has grown into a full-fledged cultural movement, officially recognised as a Government Calendar Event since 2018.
More Than Just a Singing Competition
Over the years, Arunachal Idol has evolved into a platform that nurtures creativity, builds confidence, and celebrates the rich cultural diversity of Arunachal Pradesh. Season 7 carried forward this legacy with record-breaking participation and boundless enthusiasm, raising the bar in both scale and impact.
A Record-Breaking Season
This season witnessed an overwhelming 3,722 entries from across the state, which was a new milestone for the show. The Mega Audition was held on May 11 at Hotel Todo, Itanagar, where 50 contestants were shortlisted from thousands of aspirants. After intense rounds of competition, 30 singers advanced to the main stages of the show.
From soulful tribal folk to contemporary power vocals, contestants showcased extraordinary vocal talent, stagecraft, and emotional expression, truly reflecting the musical heartbeat of the state.
A Grand Finale to Remember – Namsai Shines
The Grand Finale held in Namsai drew massive crowds, bringing together families, youth, and music lovers from all corners of Arunachal Pradesh. The event’s vibrancy and emotional highs underscored how deeply Arunachal Idol has embedded itself in the hearts of the people.
The Grand Finale which took place at the Poi-Pee Mau Ground in Namsai, turning the venue into a buzzing celebration of music and community spirit. The event was not just a musical spectacle but a celebration of what young Arunachalees can achieve when given the right platform.
The finale was graced by the presence of Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Chowna Mein, Minister Shri Kento Jini, MP Shri Tapir Gao, MLAs and other dignitaries
Their presence reaffirmed the government’s strong commitment to promoting talent, culture, and youth development across the state.
After weeks of rigorous training, mentoring, and performances, Tsering Sandup was crowned the Winner of Arunachal Idol Season 7.

- Winner: Tsering Sandup
- 1st Runner-Up: Julee Tikkom
- 2nd Runner-Up: Dakmo Riba
- 3rd Place: Joyri Longri
- 4th Place: Lobsang Wangmu Damo
Each finalist brought something unique to the stage, embodying the talent, passion, and discipline that Arunachal Idol is known for.
