CHIEF MINISTER’S AWARD FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE 2021

Department of Administrative Reforms, Government of Manipur instituted the Chief Minister’s Award for Good Governance in the Year 2020 to recognize and reward innovative & extraordinary work that promotes good governance done by civil servants under the Government of Manipur. Under this Scheme, civil servants are rewarded for outstanding and exemplary performance in initiatives and projects which have benefitted a large number of citizens/stakeholders in Individual & Team Category with cash award of Rs. 1 lakh and 2 lakh respectively.

The Award for the Year 2020-21 was distributed on the occasion of Independence Day, 2021 at 1st MR Parade Ground. Altogether 3(three) officers in Individual Category and 7(seven) Departments in Team Category were rewarded.

1. Health Department Team
Health & Family Welfare, Government of Manipur
For the initiatives taken to combat the COVID pandemic

2. Home Department Team
Government of Manipur
For facilitation of stranded people during the COVID pandemic

3. Horticulture Team
Government of Manipur
For the introduction of an innovative and permanent farming system in place of jhum cultivation

4. Jiribam District Team
For bringing back stranded Manipuris during the COVID pandemic

5. Senapati District Team
For combating Dziiko wildfire and development of the approach road to Dziiko Valley base camp

6. E-Office Team
Department of Information Technology, Government of Manipur
For successful implementation of e-Office in Manipur
