Closure Announcement for Adoption Storytelling – Adoption Awareness Month 2024

February 14, 2025

The ‘Adoption Storytelling’ activity, hosted in collaboration with MyGov India, proved to be a resounding success in raising awareness about adoption and the importance of finding loving families for children in need of care and protection. With an overwhelming 211 participations and a remarkable 4,108 views, this initiative sparked genuine conversations around the emotional and transformative power of adoption. The campaign not only encouraged prospective adoptive parents and adoptive families to share their heartfelt stories but also highlighted the incredible support from stakeholders committed to building brighter futures for children.

The most remarkable response came on October 2nd, 2024, with 28 submissions received on that particular day, signaling the deep engagement of the public with the cause. A striking trend emerged with people in the age group of 18-24 being the most active participants, underscoring the growing interest among younger generations in child welfare and adoption. The state-wise participation statistics were also telling, with Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and West Bengal leading the charge, reflecting a strong regional interest in contributing to the adoption conversation. The activity effectively enabled the community to connect, share, and learn, strengthening the relationship between CARA (Central Adoption Resource Authority) and loving families.

CARA appreciates the incredible efforts of all participants and will communicate the same via e-mail to an exceptional few for further recognition. Since these stories play an essential role in building awareness and inspire others to consider adoption, they become crucial in reinforcing the message that every child deserves a safe and nurturing home. By sharing these powerful experiences, we continue to pave the way toward a future where every child finds a family filled with love and care.
