Closure Announcement for Choose Your Favourite Inspiring Quote by Mahatma Gandhi
Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, conducted the “Choose Your Favourite Inspiring Quote by Mahatma Gandhi” initiative as part of the 75 years of India’s Independence “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. This contest is organized in collaboration with MyGov. This initiative aimed to celebrate Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy by inviting submissions of people’s favourite quotes from a collection of 100 Amrit Vachans.
The initiative, which began on October 2, 2021, and concluded on June 30, 2022, received a total of 3,647 submissions.
We extend our appreciation to all participants for their active engagement and for contributing to this celebration of Mahatma Gandhi’s enduring wisdom and principles.
