Closure Announcement for Share your Entrepreneurship Development Story
Ministry of Textiles in collaboration with MyGov hosted a contest Share your Entrepreneurship Development Story to encourage & motivate the Start-Ups and Entrepreneurs /agencies of the handloom sector to share their journey/story of Entrepreneurship Development.
7th August is celebrated every year as “National Handloom Day”. August 7th was chosen as the National Handloom Day to commemorate the Swadeshi Movement which was launched on this day in 1905 in the Calcutta Town hall. The first National Handloom Day was inaugurated on 7th August 2015 by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at the Centenary Hall of Madras University in Chennai.
The activity was hosted from 20th July 2023 to 30th November 2023, and received 275 responses from the users.
The entries received were examined, and it was decided that none of the entries were suitable to be used for the purpose. Therefore, with sincere appreciation for the efforts and creativity showcased, it has been collectively decided not to proceed further with the entries received for the said competition.
