Closure Announcement For Surya Namaskar Video Contest
The Surya Namaskar Video Contest, organized by the Ministry of Ayush in collaboration with MyGov under the #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav initiative, aimed to celebrate Makar Sankranti by encouraging widespread participation in practicing Surya Namaskar. The event, held on January 14, 2022, saw 75 lakh participants practicing Surya Namaskar, following covid appropriate behavior.
The theme for the event was “Surya Namaskar For Vitality” (सूर्यनमस्कार जीवनीशक्ति का आधार). Participants were invited to share videos showcasing their families, friends, or other groups performing Surya Namaskar. These videos, in Hindi, English, or any other language with English subtitles, were to be original content shot on mobile phones or cameras.
The contest, which ran from January 13, 2022, to January 31, 2022, received a total of 1,746 submissions.
