Closure Announcement for Vikas Saptah Photo Competition
As part of Vikas Saptah 2025, MyGov Gujarat organised the Vikas Saptah Photo Competition with the objective of encouraging citizen participation in visually documenting the journey of development and transformation across Gujarat and India. The competition sought to create a compelling visual narrative showcasing progress in infrastructure, governance, technology, sustainability, social inclusion, and people-centric initiatives, in line with the spirit of Vikas Saptah.
The competition was hosted on the MyGov Gujarat Portal from 10 October 2025 to 09 November 2025, inviting citizens to submit original photographs aligned with the notified themes, technical specifications, and terms and conditions.
Upon completion of the submission process, a total of 246 entries received were reviewed in detail. While citizen participation was duly noted and appreciated, it was observed that the submissions did not sufficiently meet the prescribed quality benchmarks, technical parameters, and content guidelines outlined for the competition.
In view of the overall assessment and the fact that the entries were not up to the expected standards, it has been decided to discontinue the Vikas Saptah Photo Competition. Accordingly, no entries have been shortlisted for awards or further evaluation.
MyGov Gujarat sincerely acknowledges the interest and effort shown by all participants. The enthusiasm of citizens to contribute creatively to public initiatives is valued and appreciated.
Citizens are encouraged to continue engaging with future initiatives and competitions on the MyGov Gujarat platform, adhering closely to the prescribed guidelines, to collectively celebrate the spirit of development, participation, and progress envisioned.
