Closure announcement of ‘Sahaj Karobar Evam Sugam Jeevan Hetu Sujhav’
Government of India is committed to enhance Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Living across the country. Multitude of reforms have been implemented over the last few years to improve Government’s interface with businesses and citizens.
India celebrated its 75th anniversary of Independence on 15th August 2022. As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, DPIIT conducted a campaign “Sahaj Karobar Evam Sugam Jeevan Hetu Sujhav” to invite suggestions from businesses and citizens to enhance Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Living.
The campaign focused on the problems that are faced in starting and running a business as well as inputs on effective public service delivery. It further aimed at collecting suggestions from the businesses and citizens over the issues related to getting certificates, licenses, permissions, approvals / renewals, inspections/audits, online systems/processes, decriminalization of minor offences, digitization etc.
The campaign witnessed wide participation from businesses and citizens with suggestions related to services offered by Central and State Governments. DPIIT received valuable suggestions highlighting the areas for simplification of procedures, elimination of redundant laws, enhanced scope of digitization, better information availability, etc.
The efforts of all the participants are appreciated. The suggestions offer useful input to support the Government of India in achieving its aim to make “New India” a preferred investment destination across the globe and ensure hassle-free service delivery to the ultimate beneficiary.
