Draft Indore Smart City Proposal
Indore Municipal Corporation launched its Citizen Engagement Program for Smart City Mission.
We presented a diversity of platformsto our residents to actively participate in making Indore a Smart City. We sought citizen’s engagement with a focus on seeking your responses on innovative solution for improved livability and governance to meet your aspirations.
We aim to be chosen in the first round of Smart Cities Mission in 2016.
Based on the responses received in the first two rounds of citizen consultation, which included
- Over 125 meetings with School Students, College Students/Youth, Working Professionals, Housewives, Service Providers, Senior Citizens, Businessman &Industrialists, Traders, Shop Owners, Merchants, Teachers, Doctors, Lawyers, IT Professionals, Educationists, Sports Persons, Automobile Fraternity, Professional Club Members, Journalists,nature enthusiasts, Ward Level Consultations and Elected Representatives of Indore
- India’s most diverse citizen engagement on multiple platforms including MyGov, Indore SmartCity Website Suggestions, Online Polls, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube,WhatsApp, Missed Call, Paper Based Suggestion Forms (Kiosks / Voluteers / Mobile Van), Essay Contest, Science Exhibition, Consultation Meetings and Painting Contests
All platforms yielded over 5,50,000 suggestions based on which a consensus regarding the vision for Indore was developed.

Along with the heritage of Indore, we are committed to the cohesive development of our city.
Based on this, Indore Smart City Mission has developed the draft proposal for consideration for Smart City Mission.

solar panels should be installed on top of all BRTS bus station so that electricity consumed by bus station, can be produced by the solar panels installed over there only.
Plan is very good, I would like to add in it that
1.govt should take care of parking system very strictly because in indore at many places especially mg road and rajwada there is no space for parking.
2.drainage system is not proper at old areas like siaganj and many DIRTY NAALAs are there around which many poor people lives and suffers from health problems.
3. Dustbins are very necessary at every public place. Many times I have thrown garbage in open just because of no dustbin there.
The City of Madhya Pradesh Indore is very fast running in the Smart City run. Next 5 yrs, this city will be counted as globalized in the world. Indore citizens and also youths takes our own responsibility and help about to make Indore Better for Smart City.
I am very grateful to our and respectful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Damodar Das Modi Ji. This city, infact the India is works with great minds people like our’s PM. I love and Respect to Indore and the India also.

The draft proposal is well thought of and can definitely be a stepping stone in making Indore a Smart City.
First of all must concentrate on underground drainage system with covered drains and what ever the human waste may be converted in to energy it will help saving crores of rupees corporation can spend the amount for more development,and if we stores the rain water by construction under ground shafts connecting to tunnel it will helpful in dry season, it helps ground water level, and March to July we are facing acute shortage of water. It also must include in SMART CITY PROPOSAL
Seems to be the plan in action.
However certain aspects –
1) There is not mention of IoT in technology.

3) I am executing the model for "Smart Cities Wheel", ready to help consultants, Govt, IMC etc.Please, let me know.
Whole city should be connected with Pipeline gas.
Ye Achcha Plan hai, yah plan Nagrik sahbhagita se bana hai aur main chahunga Indore ko prathmikta se Smart City banaya jaaye.
Indore Smart City Proposal is just perfect and as a citizen of Indore I would like to appreciate Indore Municipal Corporation’s efforts in citizen consultation. They have perfectly designed the plan as per suggestions which I can also see on open online platforms. Great Plan! Good Job!
