Draft Proposal for Smart City Varanasi
Varanasi Municipal Corporation has received overwhelming response from its citizen in smart city suggestions and ideas to improve their city under Smart City Challenge.
As part of citizen engagement & consultation process (for preparation of Smart City Proposal), Varanasi Municipal Corporation organized a wide range of activities – e.g. Ward level consultations, Stakeholders consultations, Essay writing competition, Logo Design Competition, Group based interaction/Suggestion meetings etc. starting from 1st October, 2015 to 30th November, 2015. Apart from this, other social media tools (like Facebook, Whatsapp, website etc.) were used to reach citizens.
As we are now approaching the final stage, we invite all citizens for their valued feedback and suggestions on the Draft Proposal before it is submitted to MoUD for its approval and due consideration.

No Smart City can ever be built without carbon-free energy which is Solar and Wind! Hence, ignoring these 2 sectors are deadly for our future. Hope our beloved PM will focus on this sector where millions of SqFt Roof Tops are UNUSED to exploit the absolutely carbon-free energy SOLAR which can bring down the carbon emissions, provided Govt allow FDI in this sector alongwith enhancement of 50% subsidy from existing 30%. Still FM can work out some incentive in this sector, just in case ignored!
I guess ignoring Solar n wind energy sector in union budget is against the much awaited boost for carbon-free energy (Global Carbon Emission is 36Billion Tons in 2015) as spoken by bill gates in 2016 Annual Letter with Caption

Still have time if FM can consider 100% FDI in this greenhouse project that can help institutions to be self-sufficient, provided Govt policy

This is a mind change after Modi ji campaign of Swatch Bharat Abhiyan and Varanasians proceed their fortune in their own hand.
Good to see that ghats are clean, roads are in better condition and the most important feature is Indian Railways are getting clean and artistic position beyond that rough and hard image.

Varanasi being a large city,with scores of automobiles may be witnessing severe air pollution in future, which is prevalent these days in the NCR. So, I want to propose a common portal for all the commuters of the city who will be travelling to some places in the city. The portal will show other people going in the same direction, can use car pooling, thus reducing the number of vehicles on road. I have the complete roadmap of portal, if the government is interested, it can contact me.

Pls open some its/bpo so that varanasi people can do work here itself .. and stay with families .. its imp request from PM modi ji .. we are forced to go outside like delhi ,Bangalore etc .. please make Varanasi as smart as you are . We all love u and proud to be as PM of INDIA. Thanks
sir 2 saal ho gye abhi tak varanasi me bus 80 ghat hi saf dikh rha hai har colony gandi hai sadk pe log aise hi gandgi kr rhe hai ganga abhi hume hmare group ne swatch bharat abhiyan ke liye pure varanasi ko saf krne ka bida utha tha hme koi madat nhi mili aapke neta bs baith ke order dete hai unke pas jao toh alg baate krte hai sir aise hi chla toh abhi delhi bihar gya up bhi aapke hath se jayega
Swachh Bharat and Smart Initiatives are great. I have give more ideas on my blog on the below link where government can work more efficiently and does what more needs to be done. Hope these issues help them understand more.
