The Women Empowerment Vertical of the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BRICS CCI WE) along with Nippon Paint India as Lead Programme Partner has announced the launch of the third edition of its flagship Global Women Leadership Programme (GWLP)—a transformative initiative focused on empowering women professionals and entrepreneurs from BRICS+ nations and other partner countries through a dynamic and impactful mentorship and learning module.

The GWLP is designed to elevate leadership skills, foster cross-border connections, and provide invaluable insights to women professionals and entrepreneurs. With each edition, the programme run in association with knowledge partners- entrepreneurship education platform ThinkStartup and sheatwork, a one-stop knowledge hub for women entrepreneurs, has grown in scale, ambition, and impact. In this year’s edition, the top three Global participants will get an opportunity to get a fully funded trip to India for the Convocation Ceremony. A trophy will be awarded to the best project implementing the Nudge Theory in the programme at the BRICS CCI WE Annual Summit & Felicitations 2026 by the Cheistha Kochhar Foundation.

The past sessions brought together eminent mentors and mentees from across BRICS+ nations: India, Brazil, Russia, China, South Africa, UAE and others—engaging in a life-changing experience for women leaders across continents. The winner of GWLP 2024, Ms. Mahadi Mosia from South Africa, went on to be chosen as one of 18 global winners from over 1,000 women entrepreneurs in the BRICS Women’s Startup Contest.

Announcing the programme, Ms. Ruby Sinha, President, BRICS CCI WE, said, “At BRICS CCI WE, we are committed to building an inclusive ecosystem where women don’t just participate in the global economy—they lead it. Global research shows that mentored entrepreneurs are twice as likely to succeed, and for women, this guidance is often the difference between staying small and scaling globally. Through the Global Women Leadership Programme, our objective is to equip women with the global mindset, mentorship, and networks they need to thrive across borders as leaders.”

According to Mr. Sharad Malhotra, Director, Nippon Paint India, ” Our ongoing association with the Global Women Leadership Programme (GWLP) reflects a shared vision—to create an enabling ecosystem where women’s leadership is nurtured, scaled and celebrated. Each edition of GWLP has strengthened our conviction that when women are given the right platform and support, they rise—not just individually, but collectively, driving sustainable and inclusive growth across industries and geographies.”

Participants in the programme will have the opportunity to enhance their leadership capabilities, engage with global peers, and learn from seasoned professionals and thought leaders. Delivered in a hybrid form over four months, the programme includes regular mentorship sessions led by global industry experts, offering valuable guidance and real-world insights. They will explore a range of leadership-focused modules, including Leadership Principles, Nudge Theory in Leadership, the Sustainability Narrative, and the distinction between Entrepreneurial and Managerial Leadership, with a focus on real-time projects.

The programme culminates in two milestone events—the Ideas Pitch Fest, where participants showcase their ventures before industry leaders and investors, and a Convocation Ceremony, where they will be awarded a BRICS CCI WE Certificate of Completion. This recognition ceremony is held annually as part of the BRICS CCI WE Annual Summit & Felicitations, which takes place on the sidelines of International Women’s Day.

The BRICS CCI WE Global Women Leadership Programme continues to be a pioneering initiative aimed at recognising and nurturing the next generation of women leaders across diverse sectors. With the unwavering support of industry partners like Nippon Paint India, the programme remains committed to driving meaningful change and fostering a more inclusive and equitable future.
