Grand launch of MyGov portal in Himachal Pradesh
MyGov platform is a unique path-breaking initiative which was launched on July 26, 2014, by none other than the honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. Today honourable CM Shri Jai Ram Thakur launched MyGov Himachal portal in Shimla with this Himachal has become the 11th state under My Gov portal and speaking on the occasion Shri Jai Ram Thakur said MyGov Himachal portal will go a long way in strengthening public participation in the governance process.
MyGov is an innovative platform to build a partnership between Citizens and Government with the help of technology for the growth and development of India. This unique platform aims to enhance citizen partnership with the state Government and vice versa. MyGov Himachal will help people of the State to communicate their views, suggestions, feedback as well discontentment . He said that the State Government will give due consideration to constructive criticism and synergizing all contributions for the betterment of the State and Country as well.
Agriculture and IT Minister Dr. Ram Lal Markanda was also present on the occasion and said that people have all right to know about the policies and programs initiated by the State Government for their welfare and development of the State. He said that the app would be helpful in this regard.
MyGov India CEO Abhishek Singh made a brief presentation on MyGov and talked about how MyGov India has become an integral part of people’s lives and portal already has more than 1 crore members and are actively participating in this portal.
Attributes of MyGoV
The major attributes of My Gov include Discussion, Tasks, Talks, Polls, and Blogs on various groups based on diverse governance and public policy issues.
Blogs: Blogs will be written on public schemes (Department wise) which current government is running, apart from that art and culture, socio-economic problems, and various other matters of public interest will be delivered to the common citizen through blogs
Polls: Since the portal is meant for the common citizen polls will be conducted on various things be it policy making or policy implementation or any topic which is of public interest.
Talks: CM Jai Ram Thakur Ji will interact with public live and take people’s suggestion and also talk about the existing policy and how they are benefiting ordinary citizens.
Groups: various groups will be created Deptt. wise where various Deptt will showcase what work they are doing in there respective Deptt and will seek suggestions to further improve there functioning.
Core idea behind MyGov Himachal is to increase public participation in governance therefore every citizen is requested to enroll himself in this portal share their opinions, feedback, Suggestions discontentment with govt. if any and all the suggestions will be treated sympathetically. The only thing that Citizens needs to do is to enroll them in himachal.mygov.in by entering their credentials.
