MyGov Blog – Four years of strengthening Citizen-Government engagement

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had constantly reiterated that the spirit of democracy reaches its zenith with people’s participation in the process of governance. While envisioning for the concept of participative democracy or ‘Jan Bhagidari’, MyGov was created.  The platform considered to bridge the gap between the public and the policy making has caused a positive shift in the paradigm of governance.   From inviting ideas to ease government rules and regulation to leveraging technology for reducing corruption, holding consultation on proposed changes to GST laws, to sharing ideas on PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat, and conducting quizzes to curating various innovation challenges for finding real world solutions, MyGov has truly fostered a vibrant citizen participation in the domain of governance and policy making in sync with PM Modi’s vision of Surajya.

As MyGov ushers in its four years since its inception on July 26,2014 ,  it has become an enabler through its plethora of activities related to policies in realising the vision of ‘New India’ in consonance with the New India Movement 2017-2022 that envisages a clean, healthy and prosperous India by adopting good governance through utilising technology. In this context let us take a look at some of the major highlights under this enterprising endeavour of the government that has taken place in the last 4 years:-
