Third State Instance of MyGov Launched in Assam
Honourable Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal, on 10th April, 2017 launched the MyGov Assam website (assam.mygov.in). Assam is the third state in India to have its own MyGov website after Maharashtra and Haryana. This unique platform aims to enhance citizen partnership with the state Government and vice versa.
The citizens are not always aware of the diverse initiatives that the government is taking in various fields. As a result, the Government fails to receive their required active participation and support in different operations. This platform aims to bring the citizens closer whilst introducing them to government processes, so that the awareness and understanding of such initiatives can be spread.
While addressing the media, the honourable Chief Minister of Assam said that the prime objective of MyGov is to present a clear picture of the various activities that are being undertaken by the Government for the people and the country as a whole. MyGov Assam will help the people of the state communicate their views, suggestions, feedback as well discontentment if any. The government is open to constructive criticism from the citizens’ end and synergising all contributions for the betterment of the state and the country as well.
To begin with, MyGov Assam has hosted a number of activities that require participation from the citizens. The list is as follows:
