Green Ration Card
Families living below the poverty line in the state will be given a green ration card by the state government and will be given one rupee per kg of food grains. Five kg of grains per unit (person) will be given by the green card. The scheme will be implemented by the state government from 15th November. Under the Jharkhand State Food Security Scheme, only poor families deprived of ration card will get the benefit of this scheme, for this fresh application is to be given.
Online application for a Green card can be made through the government aahar portal www.aahar.jharkhand.gov.in or one can apply offline. To apply offline application can be downloaded from the following link.
Condition for green ration card: Married / widowed/separated female members of the age of 18 years or more will be the head of the family and accordingly applications will be accepted. In case of not having a married/widowed/separated female member of age 18 or above in the family, the eldest male member will be the head of the family concerned, but in case of a married / widowed/separated woman of 18 years or more in the family, the woman member will be the head of the family concerned.
In this sequence, under the National Food Security Act necessary action will be taken by including all the pending applications in this category under this scheme. Online applications will be submitted in the prescribed form by the applicants, in which it will be mandatory to mention the complete details, self-declaration of applicants as well as Aadhaar number, mobile number, bank account number. In case of any problem in the submission of online application for any reason, offline applications can be submitted.
After resolving the objections, on the basis of the recommendation of the concerned Panchayat / Urban ward level assembly, the District Supply Office will prepare the waiting list of the beneficiaries under the priority list and the scheme in the light of the target.
