India Innovation Challenge Design Contest: Impact Report

DST & Texas Instruments (TI) Inc. ‘India Innovation Challenge Design Contest 2019′ (IICDC 2019) powered by AICTE mission, anchored by NSRCEL@IIMB and MyGov platform has been a vital catalyst in seeding the breed of talented and budding innovators from engineering student community for creating path breaking solutions and bringing forth the entrepreneurial spirit of young India.

This year’s edition has seen an exponential growth in the participation by 1,16,000 + engineering students from 2100+ colleges submitting 31,045 ideas under the mentorship of 13,000+ Faculty Mentors endorsing IICDC as a Prestigious Platform that advances EXCELLENCE in INNOVATION. To top it, IICDC has generated the highest number of patent applications from any engineering contest in India. The fact that 175 patents have been filed till date asserts that IICDC believes in student teams to succeed in taking the extra step between idea and prototype.
