The objective of this Group is to formulate a New Education Policy for the country through an inclusive, participatory and holistic approach. The National Policy on Education was framed in 1986 and modified in 1992. Since then several changes have taken place that calls for a revision of the Policy. The Government of India would like to bring out a National Education Policy to meet the changing dynamics of the population’s requirement with regards to quality education, innovation and research, aiming to make India a knowledge superpower by equipping its students with the necessary skills and knowledge and to eliminate the shortage of manpower in science, technology, academics and industry. For this purpose, 33 themes have been identified for discussions under this Group. The themes are divided separately for the School Education (13 themes) and Higher Education (20 themes) sectors.

Our current Education system is a scam , it cannot educate the poor nor provide honorable living to the one who is educated. Ever person can open SCHOOL,COLLEGE,B SCHOOL,UNIVERSITY,LAW COLLEGE irrespective of the fact trustee itself are unqualified. A minimum corpse of RS 100 crore should be made must to open post graduation courses institution and RS 10 crore for rest. Thus only serious and noble personality will enter the system .

    Dear Smt Smriti Iraniji,
Subsidies are bad for the economy and should be done away with. Many of the subsidies in your ministry are going to those who don’t deserve it. IITians are the most guilty of this pilferage.

The main defect in our education system is reservations on caste. Reservation should be on economical basis. If not so then qualification marks should be kept equal. The reservation is the maib reson for students to take their studies lightly. If you can not do any of the above just issue seperate certificate for general caste too so that sc’s, st’s and obc’s do not compete for general seats too..

Existing Practice — Normal practice in Govt Of India not to mention about countries where best practices are being followed .

Future TASK — It should be mandatory for Govt Of India to mention in any policy itself about top ten countries with world best policy in concerned field .Then based on such best policies only Govt Of India should frame Policy for any govt Ministry /department .For this purpose Govt Should pass appropriate bill in Parliament /State Assy.

i have an idea to develop a website which will be very helpful to students. this website must contain all colleges in India for all streams including number of seats available as well as latest merit list with fee structure. by this way students can have idea of all colleges with respective stream, he can prepare for exam if any for particular college, and we can reduce corruption also by giving fee structure too. all colleges must put their number of students in each batch and each stream.

    Sir,
I like to suggest that New Education Policy should include steps to control fees structure and admission procedures of Private Schools/Institutes as well as Coaching Institutes. Good students with higher potential & caliber lack good education due to want of money. This policy should make responsible central agencies for monitoring the Private Schools/Institutes and an annual report should be obtained regarding fees and admission procedures. The same be reviewed by ministry level.
