    The maintenance and replacement
costs of conventional incandescent bulbs are immense. They consume a lot of electric power to
function and their heat emissions are also quite high. All of this contributes to greater demand of
electricity production and consequently, more carbon dioxide emissions from powerhouses. So, along
with unnecessary light pollution, this practice causes damage to our planet too.

Streetlights are an integral part of any developing locality. They are present on all major
roadways and in the suburbs too. Every day, streetlights are powered from sunset to sunrise at full
strength, even when there is no one around. On a global scale, millions of dollars are spent each day
on these street lights to provide the required electrical energy.

    This shall reduce heat emissions,
power consumption, maintenance and replacement costs, and carbon dioxide emissions. Coupled
with SSLS (Smart Street Light System), massive energy-savings are envisioned. Also, a
demonstration with a real-time proto type model involving costs and implementation procedure has
    been developed.

The project aims to describe a method for modifying street light illumination by using sensors
at minimum electrical energy consumption. When presence is detected, all surrounding street lights
glow at their brightest mode, else they stay in the dim mode.LED bulbs shall be implemented as they
are better than conventional incandescent bulbs in every way.

Eco Tourism has a high potential not only in Pasighat but also in the adjoining areas.

I want to be a member of planning for the Smart City Pasighat, especially for the drainage system. What I imagine is the completed, connected drainage system for the whole city. Starting from GTC, JN College, High Region, Market and 2 mile area, all should be interconnected. This drainage system should end at a Waste Management Plant, where the different wastes should be segregated based on organic, inorganic, and electronic and then sent for recycling.

I would like to add with e-governance, Public booths should be constructed for submission of water bills and electricity as we see in metropolis cities. Not everyone has that much time to go to submit it at offices. It will also reduce accounting activities for officials too.

Urban infrastructures like road drainage need improvement. Smart city project should prioritise these basic things along with pan city activities.

There is rampant encroachment of government land by the public. Once it was a city with ample space for everyone. Green and fresh air for everyone. People from remote villages come to Pasighat and encroach the government land and later they build concrete buildings. District Administration never give a hid to it. Will these issues be ever taken by the district administration? Even after evacuation of the encroached land they later came to same place and government does not take any action.
