Sanaroishingee Numit (Players’ Day) 2024 was celebrated enthusiastically at the Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, with Chief Minister N. Biren Singh gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest. Organized by the Department of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of Manipur, the event was marked by significant announcements and inaugurations aimed at promoting sports and recognizing the achievements of athletes in the state.

Mr. Maipak Sports Digital Experience Centre:

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh inaugurated the Mr. Maipak Sports Digital Experience Centre at the Khuman Lampak Sports Complex during the celebration. This center is envisioned to provide advanced facilities to players for their practice sessions. Additionally, it will serve as a repository of information about successful sportspersons from Manipur and highlight various government schemes for the welfare of athletes.

The Digital Experience Centre was named after renowned bodybuilder, Nongthombam Maipak Singh, in recognition of his contributions to the field of bodybuilding.

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh elaborated on various welfare schemes aimed at supporting sportspersons, including the Chief Minister’s Sportspersons Livelihood Guarantee Scheme and Khungang Ama Sanabung Ama. He encouraged players to take advantage of these initiatives to secure their livelihoods.

The celebration of Sanaroishingee Numit serves as a reminder of Manipur’s rich sporting heritage and its continued commitment to nurturing talent and promoting sports excellence.
