Winner Announcement Blog for Poster Making Competition For Promoting Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Resilience and Management
National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs celebrates its foundation day every year on 27th September 2023 to underscore its commitment to various disaster management. It captures attention, engages viewers, and encourages citizens to become agents of change by embracing preparedness as an essential part of daily life.
NDMA in collaboration with MyGov India hosted a Poster competition for Promoting Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Resilience and Management with the aim of raising awareness, educate the citizens, fostering a culture of resilience and empower individuals and communities to take proactive steps in reducing the impact of disasters and building a more resilient society.
The Poster Making Competition was based on the following theme:
- Flood Awareness
- Earthquake Safety
- Lightning-safe shelter for animals
- How to ensure the safety of animals during lightning?
- Lightning early warning and early action
- Lightning-safe school and house
- Lighting safe Farmer
- Do’s and Don’ts for lightning safety
The competition was open to all the citizens and more than 400 citizens across the country wholeheartedly participated in it to make it a grand success.
All the participants were issued an online participation certificate by MyGov. From all the participants, the the top 3 winners were selected based on the points scored by them. The winners were given cash prizes for motivation.
The prizes were Rs. 5000/-, Rs. 3000 and Rs. 1500/- respectively for First, Second and Third winners.
