Winner Announcement for Dress Up Your Kid like a Fisherboy or Fishergirl Competition
The Department of Fisheries, in collaboration with MyGov, organised the nationwide activity “Dress Up Your Kid like a Fisherboy or Fishergirl” with the objective of engaging stakeholders and promoting awareness about the rich cultural heritage and the modernization of India’s fisheries sector via welfare schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojana (PMMKSSY), and the Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund (FIDF), etc. The contest encouraged children to creatively portray both the traditional fisher identity along with the emerging modern, tech-enabled fisher community of India empowered by the various welfare schemes led by the Department of Fisheries.
The contest was hosted on the MyGov platform from 03rd November 2025 to 30th November 2025. A total of 283 entries were received from across the country.
Based on deliberations, the Committee recommended the following entries as winners of the contest:
