Winner Announcement for GOBARdhan Quiz
The Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti, in collaboration with MyGov, proudly hosted an exhilarating online quiz on the GOBARdhan initiative, which is being pursued as a national programme priority under Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen – Phase II.
Launched in April 2018, GOBARdhan (Galvanizing Organic Bio-Agro Resources Dhan) is a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at converting cattle dung, agricultural residue, and other organic waste into biogas/Compressed Biogas (CBG), and organic manure. As an integral component of solid waste management, GOBARdhan plays a crucial role in ensuring cleanliness in villages and promoting a circular economy. The initiative is being implemented through a “Whole of Government” approach, with various Ministries and Departments working together to maximize its impact.
The GOBARdhan Quiz was conducted from 15th February 2025 to 30th June 2025, inviting citizens from across the country to test their knowledge and learn more about this transformative initiative. The quiz received an overwhelming response, with 40,764 participants actively engaging in this informative and rewarding experience.
