Winner announcement for National level Photography Competition on the theme of ‘Wetlands and Human Wellbeing’
World Wetlands Day (WWD) is observed every year on February 2nd all over the world. It is celebrated to raise global awareness about the vital role of wetlands for people and our planet. To encourage the citizens of the country, especially the students about the conservation of wetlands, a series of national-level competitions were conducted during December-January in the run up to WWD 2024 focusing on this year’s theme of ‘Wetlands and Human wellbeing’.
The national level photography competition was run through MyGov from 22nd December 2023 to 21st January 2024. A total of 1475 entries were received on MyGov platform. The shortlisted entries were reviewed and based on the quality of the photographs and their relevance to the theme, the following three winners and two consolation prize winners were identified by a panel of Jury.
