Winner Announcement for Sabka Vikas MahaQuiz – Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)
Congratulations, MyGov Sabka Vikas MahaQuiz Participants!
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Government of India has been working for the poorest of poor with the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, aur Sabka Prayaas.” The Government has been ensuring basic necessities to all citizens of the country through various programmes and schemes for the holistic welfare of the poor and marginalised sections of society.
As an outreach effort to enhance awareness regarding these schemes, MyGov – the citizens engagement platform of the Government, has launched the Sabka Vikas MahaQuiz Series, in 12 Indian languages to reach every citizen (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Hindi & English).
The second scheme chosen under this MahaQuiz series was Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), based on which a quiz was launched from 13th May, 2022 till 29th May, 2022.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was launched with the aim of providing pucca houses to the poor and marginalised prople of the country. The mission is being run through two different schemes – one for urban areas (PMAY-U) and another one for rural areas (PMAY-G).
This scheme aims to transform crores of lives ensuring social, economic and mental security to people, fulfilling the vision of ‘Housing for All’ by providing ‘Pucca House’ to all eligible beneficiary families.
The quiz witnessed great enthusiasm and broad-based participation from citizens across the country. With a total of 2,27,485 contestants, the quiz received highest participation from Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra and Gujarat. Maximum participation was received from age group 25-34.
A maximum of 1,000 participants with the highest scores were to be selected.
