Winner Announcement for Short Film Contest for Safer Roads

Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Centre of Excellence for Road Safety, IIT Madras in collaboration with MyGov organized a Short Film Contest for Safer Roads as part of Road Safety Month 2026, with the objective of fostering awareness and encouraging creative expression on critical road safety issues among the youth and general public.
The contest aimed to engage participants in creating impactful short films that highlight responsible road behaviour, safe driving practices, and the importance of collective action in reducing road accidents and saving lives.
The contest was hosted from 29th January 2026 to 2nd March 2026 and witnessed enthusiastic participation from across the country, with 562 entries received on MyGov. Each submission reflected unique storytelling, strong messaging, and a shared commitment towards building safer roads for all.
After a thorough review, the jury found the 1st winner and the 3rd winner from MyGov:
