Winner Announcement for the Painting Contest on India 1947 vs. India 2047
As part of Independence Day Celebrations-2026, a Painting Competition on the theme “India 1947 vs. India 2047” was organised by the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with MyGov from 1st June to 15th July 2026 to inspire patriotism and encourage creative expression among people, especially the youth, across the country.
The competition received 9,390 entries from participants across different age groups and states.
The Ministry of Defence is pleased to announce the winners.

The serial numbers in the list are for reference only and do not indicate the winners’ rank. As the competition was held across multiple platforms, the winners’ list has been prepared after a combined evaluation of all entries received.
All expenses related to travel, boarding, lodging, food, etc. for attending the ceremony will be borne by the winners and their companion. However, travel by Delhi Metro to the venue (Red Fort) will be free of charge on presentation of the e-invitation. Please also note that children below 5 years of age will not be allowed to attend the ceremony.
