Winner Announcement for ThinkSafe – A Road Safety Ideathon

March 25, 2026

Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Centre of Excellence for Road Safety, IIT Madras in collaboration with MyGov organised the ThinkSafe – A Road Safety Ideathon as part of National Road Safety Month 2026. This ideathon focuses on reducing road accidents by promoting safer driving and riding behaviour rather than relying only on infrastructure. Participants must propose simple, practical ideas that encourage civic responsibility among road users. The goal is to create scalable, behaviour-based solutions that improve safety, especially for vulnerable groups. Submissions should be presented in a structured 4W1H format without requiring any prototype.

Hosted from 29th January 2026 to 2nd March 2026, 1005 ideas were submitted from across 22 states and union territories, with the 18 to 24 age group emerging as the most active participants. After a thorough review, the jury found only the 1st winner from MyGov:
