Winner Announcement for Threads of Expression – Bridging Handloom Traditions and Modern Indian Art Quiz
On the occasion of National Handloom Day 2025, National Gallery of Modern Art organized an online quiz competition on the theme “Threads of Expression: Bridging Handloom Traditions and Modern Indian Art” from 1 August to 18th August 2025, which was hosted on the MyGov Platform to raise awareness about the significant relationship between India’s rich handloom heritage and modern artistic expressions, highlighting how traditional textile arts have influenced prominent Indian artists in the National Gallery of Modern Art’s collection. The quiz was open to all Indian citizens. The quiz received an overwhelming response, with a total participation of 12,926 individuals from across the country. Maximum participation was observed from art enthusiasts, showing that the younger generation embodies a patriotic feeling towards building our cultural heritage.
