Winners Announcement for Culture Segment Competition on Patriotism

Celebrating the spirit of patriotism through the vibrant cultural traditions of North East India, the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), in coordination with MyGov, organised the Culture Segment Competition on Patriotism as part of the Independence Day Celebrations 2026.
Held from 6 July to 21 July 2026, the competition invited participants to present a song, dance performance or poem recitation on the theme of Patriotism, highlighting national unity, pride, sacrifice and the contribution of the North Eastern States to nation-building.
The competition received 109 submissions, reflecting the enthusiasm of citizens to express their patriotism through the diverse cultural traditions of the North East.
The entries were evaluated by the designated Screening Committee of the Ministry of DoNER on parameters including cultural relevance, authentic representation of traditions and heritage, creativity and originality, performance skills and expression, coordination and overall presentation, and appropriate use of costumes, music and other elements.
The selected winners have been recognised with the following rewards:
- The top three winners selected from the eight North-Eastern States are being felicitated with exciting prizes and the opportunity to witness the Independence Day Celebrations on 15 August 2026 at the Red Fort, New Delhi.
- The next 10 winners are being felicitated with Certificates.
