गंगा की सफाई
ी नई पहल “मेरी सरकार” गंगा की सफाई के लिए सुझाव आमंत्रित करती है।
गंगा नदी की स्थिति में सुधार लाने हेतु मोदी सरकार हाल में शुरू की गई “मेरी सरकार” की गंगा की सफाई की पहल के माध्यम से देश के सबसे बड़े हितधारकों-देश की जनता से उनके सुझाव चाहती है।
18,000 से अधिक सदस्य अब तक इस समूह से जुड़ चुके हैं और इसके लिए दिए गए कार्यों में से 9 कार्यों, जिसमें सरकार के लिए योजना तैयार करने से लेकर बाहरी कार्य आते हैं, पर लोगों ने काम करना शुरू कर दिया है।
पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने के साथ—साथ गंगा को साफ़ रखने के लिए सदस्यों द्वारा बेहतरीन सुझाव दिए गए। नदी के किनारे के सौंदर्यीकरण और उत्सव के दिनों में सफाई रखने के लिए नदी के किनारे से थोड़ी दूरी पर वाणिज्यिक क्षेत्र बनाने के सुझाव को सदस्यों द्वारा अधिक पसंद किया गया। इसके अलावा मनरेगा को गंगा सफाई अभियान से जोड़ने का भी सुझाव दिया गया जिसमें यह भी कहा गया कि दिहाड़ी मजदूरों द्वारा घाट की सफाई कराई जाए। सफाई कर्मचारियों के कार्य को आसान बनाने के लिए अलग कूड़ेदान लगाने के भी सुझाव मिले। वहीँ लगभग सभी सदस्यों की मांग थी कि जो लोग कानून का उल्लंघन कर नदी को प्रदूषित करते हैं उन्हें कड़ी-से-कड़ी सजा दी जाए।
यह भी सुझाव दिया गया कि धार्मिक अनुष्ठानों के लिए एक अलग जगह बनाई जाए जिसमें मछली पकड़ने वाला जाल लगा हो जिससे गंगा में लोगों द्वारा चढ़ाये गए चढ़ावे को आसानी से बाहर निकाला जा सके। इसके किनारे पर अधिक-से-अधिक पेड़ लगाना, खासकर औषधीय जड़ी बूटियां लगाना एक अन्य सुझाव था। स्वाभाविकतः सभी सदस्य उद्योगों द्वारा दूषित पानी गंगा में डाले जाने पर तुरंत रोक लगाना चाहते थे।
पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने के साथ गंगा की सफाई हेतु प्रस्तावित जलमार्ग और अन्य पहल से संबंधित सुझाव लोगों की गंगा के लिए उनकी चिंता दर्शाता है। कुछ सदस्यों ने हर 100 किलोमीटर के लिए अलग कार्य-दल लगाने के भी सुझाव दिए। इसके अलावा कुछ लोग चाहते थे कि गंगा को अत्यधिक प्रदूषित, मध्यम प्रदूषित आदि विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में वर्गीकृत किया जाना चाहिए। कई सदस्यों ने इको-एथनो उद्यान स्थापित करने का सुझाव दिया, जैसे – सिंगापुर का सेंटोसा द्वीप, जहां घाट के किनारे स्थित मंदिर प्रकृति का पोषण करते हैं और जहाँ वीडियो और फोटो प्रदर्शनियां पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करने के लिए आयोजित की जाती हैं।
कई सदस्यों ने गंगा नदी पर सीसीटीवी लगाने का सुझाव दिया और जो लोग नदी को प्रदूषित करते हुए पकडे जाएँ उनको गंगा नदी से संबंधित एक किताब दी जाए और उन्हें बताया जाए कि प्रदूषण सभी के लिए कैसे हानिकारक है। इसके अलावा जल परिवहन के बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास के बाद नदी को साफ करने के लिए नावों का प्रयोग करने के लिए भी सुझाव मिले। एक सुझाव यह भी था कि नदी को पुराने शहर की सड़कों की तरह विस्तृत किया जाए। सदस्यों के अनुसार, जैसे पुरानी सड़कों पर पुल या बाईपास बनाकर इसे विस्तृत एवं खुला किया जाता है। उसी प्रकार हमें गंगा के लिए बाईपास बनाकर दैनिक कार्य के लिए उस छोटे हिस्से का प्रयोग कर मुख्य नदी को प्रदूषण मुक्त रखना चाहिए। दैनिक कार्य के लिए उपयोग किये गए उस हिस्से का पानी साफ़ करने और निस्पंदन के बाद ही मुख्य नदी में छोड़ा जाए (जिस प्रकार राजमार्गों पर साइकिल चलने की अनुमति नहीं होती)।
सभी सदस्यों ने माना कि गंगा की सफाई हेतु सबका एकीकृत होकर कार्य करना आवश्यक है। एकीकरण के लिए सदस्यों द्वारा दिए गए कुछ सुझाव:
- गंगा की सफाई जैसे बड़े और जटिल कार्य के लिए निश्चित रूप से योजना का निर्धारण करना और उसके अनुसार कार्य करना आवश्यक है। लेकिन योजना प्रमुख हितधारकों के निम्न बातों को ध्यान में रखते हुए बनाई जानी चाहिए- शहर के बुनियादी ढांचे, धार्मिक भावनाओं और गंगा की सफाई का पर्यावरण पर प्रभाव।
- सबसे पहले औद्योगिक कचरे को नदी में नहीं डाला जाना चाहिए। उद्योग स्थापित करने के लिए पर्यावरण संबंधी जांच सूची होनी चाहिए जिसमें उद्योग द्वारा नदी प्रदूषित करने पर भारी जुर्माना लगाये जाने के बारे में जानकारी दी गई हो।
- केन्द्रीय योजना व्यापक दिशा प्रदान करने और उपलब्धियां हासिल करने के लिए आवश्यक है लेकिन स्थानीय हितधारकों को भी शामिल करना उतना ही महत्वपूर्ण है। मछुआरे और नाविक सदियों से अपनी आजीविका के लिए नदी पर निर्भर हैं। उनको केंद्रीय संस्था को बुनियादी स्तर पर अपनी राय देने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जा सकता है जिससे इसकी उचित निगरानी और संसाधनों के प्रयोग को सुनिश्चित किया जा सके।

Sir I hv a solution for your clean Ganga
small shops, food stalls,etc should be removed from the ghats…..it causes pollution, so many plastic bags, waste food,etc are thrown in river..it is too bad….there are so many stalls in haridwar on har ki pori…please remove them so there were no garbage at Har ki pori. SAVE GANGA
Be ready with taking samples regularly, in Ganga river at different locations. Please see and check with tests regularly to know if there are improvements because of measures being taken by government. This should continue till end of governments term. Then government should show what are the pollution levels before and at start of government term and compared to pollution levels towards the end of its term.
I think Clean Ganga is one of the awesome program of this government. I am from Patna and here we can see that their are many places where the wastage material are dumped in Ganga and from this the Ganga is very dirty here so from my opinion we should take a big action on this ….
Varanasi is considered to be the oldest living city of the world which is now our Hon, ble PM constituency. People are visiting Kyoto to develop on its model. The fact remains that it is most crowded city, garbage on all the roads, open siver flowing in most secret river Gangage inspite of it being declared as national heritage. For Ganga Project this time substantial funds have been allocated by Government. This must be utilized judiciously for preventing industrial effluent flowing in the river from all cities situated on it’s bank. Further, all sewerage must be treated before dumping in the river after BOD tests. In rainy season Ganga cleans itself with enormous amount of rain water flowing with high speed. So please help in this monumental task by taking policy decisions timely for implementation.
We have developed a facile method to fabricate hydrophobic fabric from organic waste with almost no processing. This kind of fabric can be efficiently used to selectively remove the oiliness from water. This fabric is very effective for oil spillage in rivers, oceans and lakes. We have recently filed an Indian patent also. We would be happy to demonstrate its application in cleaning the river. If this technology can be further developed for large scale, it may be really very economical way.
instead of investing tax payers money in clean ganga, invest money in merge maximum possible river for saving water going into ocean and also will help farmers for more crop to grow.

Sir start cleaning ganga tributaries first from Yamuna n begun from Delhi these tributaries itself polutes ganga more. Recently I have read few iitians have developed materials which can absorb impurities. Science is the only solution to water impurity problemsMother
@Y Sharma – Diverting sewage onto dry river beds or directly into sea is not a good idea because you would not only be polluting ground water and making it toxic but also pollute sea which would in turn would not only damage the soil, ground water as well as fish and sea animals. The water needs to be treated/cleaned and then left.
clean ganga is realy great project.. i live in delhi and in delhi there r many pond n they need project like ganga because pond effect people directly.near my house there is deer park inside park pond stink badly..manegement see daily n do nothing..
