NITI Aayog, along with the UN in India and MyGov, is pleased to announce that the stories of 25 women, from villages, towns and cities across the country, have been shortlisted for Women Transforming India Contest organised on MyGov.

Shortlisted from nearly 1000 entries, these women have done phenomenal work in transforming themselves and the society around them. The 25 entries, with a synopsis of each, have been put to poll on MyGov on May 6th, 2016. The poll is open for voting until May 14th, 2016.

All shortlisted entries will also be reviewed by an eminent Jury, decided by NITI Aayog. Based on the cumulative result of the poll and the Jury, the winners of Women Transforming India Contest will be announced in a grand event in Delhi, over the coming few weeks.

It may also be noted that on certain occasions, Entry 1 – Meena and Entry 8- Meenakshi Roy were reported to be not visible to viewers in the voting list due to technical issues. The issue has been resolved. In addition, it may be noted that the votes of registered MyGov users who voted via SMS with choice numbers “1” and “8” remain unaffected during the period of technical snag. Similarly, the choices of other users based on the current sequence also remain unaffected. Please visit this link to vote, and to obtain information about the SMS-based voting process.
