Winner Announcement for Celebrating Innovation: Top 400 Teams of ATL Marathon 2022-23

The top teams of ATL Marathon 2022-23 was announced on Thursday, 14th September 2023. The ATL Marathon, AIM’s flagship national-level innovation challenge, empowers schools to identify community problems and develop innovative solutions in the form of working prototypes. This year’s theme, “India’s G20 Presidency,” resonated with the recently concluded G20 Shikhar Summit.
India’s G20 Presidency is marked by its bold approach to next-gen themes, acting as catalysts for a more connected, equitable, and sustainable future. The New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration, starting with ‘We are One Earth, One Family, and we share One Future’, sets an inspiring tone.
This edition of the Marathon, centered on the G20 theme, saw an unprecedented 12,200+ innovations from students across every corner of India—the highest participation to date. These projects addressed problem statements inspired by the various working groups of G20.
After rigorous evaluation by our industry partners, we are proud to announce the Top 400 teams, who will now embark on their journey with the Student Innovator Program (SIP). This year, we’ve increased the number of top teams from 350 to 400, offering even more opportunities to students.
Here are some impressive statistics from ATL Marathon 2022-23:
- Over 12,200 teams from 33 states participated in the competition.
- 46% of the students participating were girl students.
- Government schools represented 42% of the participating teams.

These Top 400 teams will be a part of the Student Innovator Program (SIP). The ATL Student Innovator Program acts as a bridge, guiding students from being innovators to potential entrepreneurs. Those with the most ingenious ideas receive training in business and entrepreneurial skills to further develop their projects. AIM’s AICs, ACICs, and industry partners provide invaluable mentorship and resources to the best ATL Marathon teams.
