Bharat Lok Sangeet – Arunachal Utsav 2026 Concludes on a Vibrant Note in Pasighat

Pasighat, March 26, 2026: The 3rd edition of Bharat Lok Sangeet – Arunachal Utsav 2026 concluded successfully at the Siang River Festival Ground near Raneghat, Pasighat, after two days of vibrant cultural celebrations that brought together the rich artistic traditions of Arunachal Pradesh and the nation.
Organized by the Department of Tourism, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, in collaboration with the East Siang District Administration, the festival was held under the aegis of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. The event served as a dynamic platform for cultural exchange, showcasing a harmonious blend of indigenous folk traditions and classical art forms.
The festival featured an impressive array of performances reflecting the cultural diversity of the region. Traditional dances included the Zu-Phon-Shon of the Wancho community from Longding district, Memba folk dance from Shi-Yomi, Aka folk dance from Thrizino, and vibrant performances by the Khamba and Nah communities of Taksing. These were complemented by classical and inter-state presentations such as Bharatanatyam by Dr. Lata Surendra and Raas Lila from Manipur.
Adding contemporary energy to the celebration, musical performances by the Lepcha Folk Band Laso Mung Kup from Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh’s acclaimed artist Taba Chake resonated strongly with the youth, creating an engaging and inclusive atmosphere.
On the inaugural day, Advisor to the Ministers of Education and Home, graced the occasion. He highlighted the importance of preserving traditional heritage in a rapidly evolving world, emphasizing that cultural practices and artistic expressions passed down through generations form the foundation of identity and must be safeguarded.
The festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from artists, youth, and cultural enthusiasts, reinforcing the spirit of unity in diversity. By bringing together traditions from across regions, it fostered greater appreciation of India’s rich cultural legacy while strengthening bonds of national integration.
The successful conclusion of Bharat Lok Sangeet – Arunachal Utsav 2026 reflects the continued commitment of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to preserve, promote, and celebrate the state’s unique cultural heritage while encouraging meaningful cultural dialogue across the country.
