Bilaspur Municipal Corporation – citizen consultation meeting
Bilaspur Municipal Corporation started conducting citizen consultation meetings from 7th October, 2015. These meeting were mainly held to get maximum feedback from the citizens about their suggestions for Bilaspur smart city initiative. In this series a meeting was held on 11/10/2015 with the members of various associations (Architect association, Chamber of Commerce, Merchant association, Rotary club and lions club ).
The meeting was presided over by Hon’ble Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishore Rai. Municipal Commissioner Bilaspur Ms. Ranu Sahu was also present during the meeting.
For gathering suggestions from the audience present the Municipal Commissioner adopted a unique idea of conducting a SWOT analysis on spot, the audience was asked to formulate the Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and threats for Bilaspur city respectively. The inputs given by the people were duly recorded and taken into account for consideration in the smart city initiative.
