Chandigarh Revised Smart City Proposal
The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh is pleased to inform you that our city has been selected under Fast Track Cities for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In this phase, our city will compete with 23 other cities, enhance our Smart City proposal and become eligible for funding on accelerated basis in 2016-17. The city needs to refine its vision, mission and a proposal based upon suggestions received from panel of expert and MoUD. After taking into consideration the comments received from panel of experts and MoUD, talking to stakeholders, conducting assessment of previously submitted SCP, necessary refinements and enhancement to the Chandigarh Smart City Proposal have been made and is hereby put up for citizen comments and endorsements.

Safeguard of Senior Citizens must be taken care of because of incidents happening at regular intervals in the city. Murders of Senior citizens and snatching are increasing day-by-day. Police patroling in night should be a regular duty within and around the sectors.
Maintenance/development/cleanliness of roads should be a priority because vehicles are increasing in city day-by-day. Traffic light points should be installed with proper survillance systems to keep check of entry of anti-social people.
Nice Proposal i think rain water harvesting must be used as well, sufficient water must be supplied in city.
24 hour Power and Water supply should be ensured upto the top of residential buildings of the city. These are basic needs
People are facing difficulties to get resolution from govt sector employees, Councilors must fix a meeting day in their areas to listen/resolve issues of people.
Dhanas, Housing Board colony, Chandigarh need more improvement in Road & Street Sanitation. The Parks are very Dirty. Where our children want to play ?. parks should be clean and beautiful.
it will be nice to see Chandigarh as a Smart City.
Great proposal
Upgrade of the existing health facilities would be a big step ahd towards a smarter life. During most time, casualties occur because of the lack of efficient emergency services. Mny patients are taken to hospitals in private vehicles instead of ambulances because of the lack of facilities. the situation is not the same. Primary dispensaries shd be made smart. Every facility to the patient should be given on bed.All Government hospitals should be with strong and talented help desk team.
Most of my suggestions are concren with segregation of garbage at source, gymnasiums and toilets at gardens, upgrading municipal schools, improving the city’s green cover, rehabilitation of hawkers, developing Wi-Fi spots, increased use of social media and e-governance, increased use of solar power, campaign for river cleanliness,control rules to solve parking problems, sewage treatment plants in big cooperative housing societies.Especially paperless office will make govt office smart.
