MyGov Editorial
Dear members of the MyGov family,
At MyGov, we have attempted to continuously find new ways of reaching out to you, expanding the mechanisms by which we can share information with you and seek your participation. In the past, we have moved beyond discussions and tasks to more elaborate means of engagement, such as Talks, Surveys and Polls.
As we launch this MyGov blog section today, I thought it would be appropriate to take the opportunity to give you a glimpse of what we are planning for the future to further enhance your participation in governance, which is MyGov’s core mandate.
We will soon initiate a monthly in-person MyGov interaction, with a Union Minister. Regular contributors on MyGov and other experts who have made a name for themselves on social media and are also MyGov members, will be invited to these monthly events and get the opportunity to present their ideas and suggestions on the respective domains.
MyGov will soon launch an idea factory, where field officers at the cutting edge – those working in districts and sub-divisions ensuring last mile delivery – would be able to share their best practices. This way, successful and exemplary initiatives in one state or district will be available to officers across the country for learning and replication. It willl also enable citizens to share their thoughts on the initiatives, and participate in finding solutions to issues of governance.
MyGov will soon come up with a MyGov Volunteer Platform which will match the volunteer requirements of different government departments with the skills and time availability of volunteers who wish to devote time in the cause of national development.
The MyGov events platform to be used by government organizations to organise events by involving and engaging MyGov users will also be launched shortly.
An IVRS solution for participation in MyGov activities will soon be rolled out to facilitate participation by those who do not have access to internet connectivity.
MyGov will soon launch a MyGov merchandise store where merchandise promoting national integration and some special causes would be available. This would be a not-for-profit activity by MyGov and all the proceeds collected through this effort would be donated to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
The MyGov Swachh Bharat webpage has been revamped and will be relaunched within a few days with a clearly outlined and detailed program, in partnership with MoUD, on how the Swachh Bharat activities can be made even more citizen focused, and led by citizens of India.
MyGov will soon announce the winners of the PMO App contest, a first of its kind activity, whiere the mobile app for the Prime Minister’s Office has been built through crowd sourcing.
It is our constant endeavour to live up to the vision that the Prime Minister has given us and with your help and consistent feedback and support, we hope to continue this journey of building India.
Yours truly
Gaurav Dwivedi
