All smart city projects should include basic requirements such as encroachment free pedestrian footpath which are normally occupied by commercial establishments for their wares or make shift shops. Also these pathways shall be handicap friendly.
All pathways require natural tree shade to the extent possible. These trees can reduce pollution caused by vehicles.

Parking on arterial or important roads should be banned. Multilevel car parking to be constructed to cater for public vehicles.
