In a resounding display of commitment to development amidst challenges, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh unveiled a diverse array of processed food products under the brand Manifresh on 5th February 2024.

During the event, CM N. Biren Singh highlighted the importance of establishing cold storage in Manipur to mitigate the wastage of locally produced fruits and vegetables. This initiative aligns with broader efforts to modernize agricultural practices in the state, ensuring their alignment with contemporary market demands. Improvements in product packaging are necessary for recognizing its pivotal role in enhancing the marketability of local products.

The newly launched Manifresh line-up features a diverse range of products, including Kachai lemon tea, dehydrated pineapple, Sirarakhong products, lotus tea and incense, Thambou chips and seasoning, Garcinia and Amla powders, Chakhao sweets and snacks, Brocco-kies, Indian pennywort tea, orange jam, garcinia osmo-air dried products, and banana brew. Each product, crafted by local entrepreneurs, celebrates Manipur’s rich horticultural heritage and the government’s push towards value-added agriculture.

The entrepreneurs behind the Manifresh products expressed their gratitude to the government for its unwavering support, underscoring the administration’s commitment to fostering local entrepreneurship. The launch of Manifresh not only propels local businesses forward but also positions Manipur as a significant contender in the processed food industry.
