Radio Talk Show – Preparation of Smart City Proposal for Pasighat
Pasighat has been selected under 23 Fast track cities for the Smart Cities Mission, Government of India in which a revamped proposal is to be submitted before 15th April 2016.
In this regard, Pasighat Municipal Council organized a radio Talk show in the form of Group Discussion to elicit Citizen Participation& Engagement in the preparation of new Smart City Proposal. This Group Discussion was attended by:-
1) MLA, Pasighat as public representative
2) Municipal Executive Officer, Pasighat as representative of the organization
3) Smart City Mission officer as Subject Expert.
The participants discussed about the various prospects of making Pasighat a smart city. There were discussions and deliberations on the gaps identified by Govt. of India on previous proposal and way forward on rectifying these gaps. This talk show was organized at All India Radio headquarters, Pasighat.

Our education system is always decided by the people who never try to communicate and never want reviews from young generation about education. If reviews of young generation regarding education are taken then there will be better skilled Manpower in Pasighat.
Poor education system of Pasighat leads lack of knowledge and intelligence in students. From 1st std students of our country learns history of Pasighat and kings happened in India but there is not a single extra subject that improved knowledge and creativity of those kids. If we look for students doing their higher studies like engineering, they are also made to study those subjects in which they are not interested e.g. students of computer engineering are also made to study subjects of electric
There are lots of street animals (dogs, cows, pigs etc…) that roam around in the streets of Pasighat especially in market area. It causes accidents and animal dung on roads. This should be take care by the Pasighat municipal council.
Overall I want to say there should be a practical development program from grass root to high level technical, scientific and research education. So that we can make a huge team of SKILLED MANPOWER.
I am satisfied with this proposal. Smart city required smart people .if people r not smart then this project will not be any use .therefore we can teaching our people to get smart. & to improve people thinking capacity to arranged program, to do these programs by local public supporters or MLA or any other who realize people to get smartness.
Mainly to focus upon:
-Traffic Control Module
– New Irrigation System for City road sides and Parks
-Camera based security system
-Power Theft Monitoring System
-Advanced Bus (Transport) tracking System
-Dual CMM Communication System for Efficient Networking
It can be clean city to become a smart city my suggestion is that on each road there should be a dustbin side by a road .washrooms should be make on side of each and every road. Each road should be clean and a colony also is clean. It can be a wifi city. By making some clean government school so that the poor people child can also get education etc.
STREET LIGHT IN MANY AREA ARE NOT WORKING SMALL LANE ARE ALSO NOT CLEAN AS MANY PEOPLE ARE NOT KEEPING THEMSELVES CLEAN THROWING GARAGES ON ROAD FIRST THE PUBLIC SHOULD GET SOME TRAINING PROGRAM FROM YOUR END TO KEEP THEMSELVES CLEAN THE AREA & SOCIETY & MUST SET THE YOUTH PROGRAM THAT WE CAN HELP TO BRING FROM EVERY FAMILY MEMBER TO GROW SOME PLANTATION PROGRAM & SOME DO IT COMPULSORY FOR THIS.
We doesn’t have anything in surplus. The other nations state population lives in one medium city of Pasighat. They have all facilities on per thousand then we have on per lakh. Our leaders who makes the development policies are far away from GRASS ROOT.
I feel that the reasons behind the SHORTAGE OF SKILLED MANPOWER in Pasighat are poor government policies. In Pasighat our leaders make their policies according to past. There is no future planning. We feel happy to say we serve MNC in Pasighat and abroad. But no one think about the requirement of skilled manpower according to our population.
