Winner Announcement for Indian language learning App Innovation Challenge

Under #EkBharatShreshthaBharat campaign, Ministry of Education and MyGov India announced an Indian Language Learning App Innovation Challenge to bring out a mobile application that would enable the people of India to not only learn basic sentences of everyday conversation in various languages via an app, but also open doors for them to explore the vast and rich culture of their own country, uninhibited by any language barriers.

For the Innovation Challenge we received overwhelming response from all over India and we finalised best 3 contestants to develop a language app for the final competition. The best 3 apps were Bolchal, Multibhashi and HiVoco.

After careful evaluation, testing and discussions about our requirements we are pleased to announce that Ms Anuradha Aggarwal who developed the app Multibhashi is the winner of Innovation Challenge and will be rewarded with a sum of Rs.15 lakh. Multibhashi has some unique Features:

•Unified Design language centered around Indian culture to teach 100 sentences in 22 Indian languages
•The app follows a learn- test mechanism. Illustrations are used in the app to make learning fun
•Two unique characters- Bharat and Vani designed to depict different cultures

For the runner up position there is a tie between two contestant Mr Pritesh Chothani from Hi_Voco and Mr Saurabh Nayak form Bolchal. They both will be rewarded with the prize money of 2.5 lakh Rupees each. Rs. 5 lakh was given to the applicants.
We appreciate the efforts of all the participants and thank them for their overwhelming interest and keenness in participating in the above competition.
