Winner Announcement for Quiz on Quality and Standards
Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is the National Standard Body of India established under the BIS Act 2016 for the harmonious development of the activities of standardization, marking, and quality certification of goods and for matters connected therewith or incidental to that. BIS has been providing traceability and tangibility benefits to the national economy in a number of ways – providing safe reliable quality goods; minimizing health hazards to consumers; promoting exports and imports substitutes; controlling over proliferation of varieties, etc. through standardization, certification, and testing.
In the month of August, BIS conducted an online ‘Quiz on Quality & Standards’ on MyGov from August 15th, 2023 to August 31st, 2023, for Indian citizens on various topics related to BIS, its related activities, Quality, and standardization. This quiz is designed to ignite the attention of Indian citizens towards increasing awareness about BIS and its role in promoting the importance of quality and standards in society. More than 30,000 citizens across the country participated in this quiz, making it a grand success.
All the participants were issued an online participation certificate by MyGov and also the top 100 winners of the Quiz shall receive cash prizes from BIS.
